Edit: Allow me to point out a fallacy of yours. I did not attack you personally, I mearly stated that your idea was hilarious. You, on the other hand, did make a personal attack on me with your "L" comment. So, do you really want to talk about who is the mature person?
Well you of all people should know that on a public forum, people have opinions. If you didn't agree with my statement (opinion) then you could have stated that, and gave a reason why you didn't agree. My post count had nothing to do with my statement, and shouldn't have anything to do with my statement or opinion. So you turned it personal. -

In relation to your post, I think that this thread could be perfect example of why we should celebrate the holiday Festivus here at CP and have the annual airing of the grievances.:DHT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

Hey man you just posted on the 28th of March about being a first time Polk buyer and you was asking for a discount for loyalty. It was just a lil hazing man. If people see they can get a rise out of ya they are gonna do it and the more you react the more they will try to do it. Dont take it personal and dont be personal, this is a great forum with some great people with tons of information who are always there willing to give some insight.AVR: Onkyo TX-SR604/s

Where did I ask for a Discount, like you stated? Yes I am a first time Polk owner. But this isn't my first merry-go-round. My statement was about Brand Loyalty. In business it is easier to keep existing customers, then to obtain new ones. It also cost less to keep existing customers. Since customers already own the product, corporate spending on advertising isn't directed at them. It's directed to obtain new customers. If companies produce quality items, with good warranties, and outstanding customer service, customers should come back. Like I said before, it cost less to keep a customer then to obtain a new one. But a little financial reward for Brand Loyalty from the manufacturer would make it hard to shop elsewhere. Again just my opinion. -

ClubPolk is the most helpful, casual, audio forum on the net. Alot of ribbing and Polking fun at each other is all a big part of why many hang around here.
You've got to hang here for awhile to get the flavor of the regulars and how much sharing of knowledge really happens. Even in the most heated of debates, the passion for audio is evident.
Oh yeah, we enjoy the speakers some too.:DHT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

We definately enjoy the speakers! I usually dont post much I just like to read and see whats going on and ask the occassional question of course. I always have a ton of questions but most of them are answered for me just by reading past posts. I just dont think you should take things personal right off the bat especially if ya havent been here before. Bozwth wrote:Do Club Polk members get any kind of a discount when buying PolkAudio products?
Forum members do not get discounts on retail merchandise, but we are offered discounts on parts.
If you remain a Polk customer for some time, I'm sure you will come to realize that dedicating resources for Club Polk and the value of Polk's customer service and product support, particularly for discontined products, is outstanding and far, far exceeds the value of any one time "discount". For example, I don't know of too many speaker manufacturers that would continue to provide product support, and even upgraded parts (new improved tweeters and polyswitch), for a twenty year old speaker series (SDA's).Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country! -

You know what. Just drop it. Like someone else said it's to bad this guys thread was hi-jacked. And that I an sorry for.
There should be a discount for brand loyalty.
Welcome to The Club. Please use a smiley or a wink if you are trying to use wit so us cut and dry perps can better understand you.
Tip #1: Some of us can enjoy our Polk's while chewing gum.
Tip #2: After you post, it's open season.
Tip #3: Don't derail, start another thread.
Tip #4: If you attack an established member, prepare for a storm.
Tip #5: Read the archived messages. Much better than wearing a propeller hat and preaching.
No discount for brand loyalty after using my gas cc for 25 years...
However, Polk Audio grants us a parts discount! -

wow +1
ps--I kind doubt its going to happen though.
I think we should pay extra for all the shite we put HQ through!!!! Discount my ****.

Wow, talk about jumping all over someone. Haven't there been a few threads about seasoned members pouncing on newbies. I can see why Mazer took offense. I happen to know him personally, and he is a real standup guy. He has just bought a set of lsi speakers, you think some of you would welcome him to the club.

49 posts for Boz to get the answer to his question, with a whole lot of BS in between!
Boz & Mazer welcome!:D Hopefully things have been learned & things will be smoother in the future.

Polk fosters brand loyalty by making a soild kick a$$ product on a consistent basis and has a customer service department that is 2nd to none. What more do you want? You don't foster brand loyalty by just lowering prices. I have always been very impressed with Polk products and after being on this forum and seeing how the customer service is; including Matthew Polk himself getting involved in many CS issues. This is why I have brand loyalty, not because I expect a discount, but because they stand behind their products and are genuinely glad to have me as a customer. I will always have a Polk product in the mix somewhere.

Perfectly said H9! It is precisely how I feel. Once I find a brand or company that does what it says & has outstanding products & service, I am one of their customers for life!
My electronics will come & go, but I will alway have Polk speakers in my system!heiney9 wrote:Polk fosters brand loyalty by making a soild kick a$$ product on a consistent basis and has a customer service department that is 2nd to none.
