Just enjoy what you have, don't get caught up over a few comments.

I agree with this to an extent. There is that old adage that you do not know what you are missing until you get it. This is so true with stereo equipment.

If it sounds great to you, and you are happy then do not worry about such trivial things as upgrading. However if you wonder "what if..." then act on that.

There was a time when my mismatched bunch of speakers, wires, and components I was able to piece together on my (at that time) small budget sounded just grand to me. I also saved every penny I could to take my lady and myself out to the movies and get a burger. I was content.

Then things changed. Money started to not be a problem, and now the "going to the movies" became an obstacle. Every time we would go out, someone had to talk, or get up in front of us with huge hair, or just let children run all over. That is when I took charge.

I started reading and researching; talking to other people; and finally testing out things on my own. I wanted the movie theatre sound. I wanted the concert feeling soundstage. I wanted to live a movie in my own house. Sound made a difference and I was not content.

That is when messageboards like this one, http://www.avsforum.com/, and many others came to play. I wanted more out of my sound. I had the money to invest, the time to play, and the enthusiasm of the people around me to make it happen.

So to close this long-winded babbling, if you are happy then great for you. Forums like this one will offer very little for you. If you want to continue to push the limits of your system and design a system that will make your friends and families jaws drop, then forums like this one present tidbits that make the audiophile drool.

SURE your receiver will push sound through those speakers. You may even like or love the performance you are getting. However if you wonder what your system is capable of, then you may want to "get caught up over a few comments". It can change your whole perspective on Home theatre and stereo listening.
