I had two sets (front and rear)of the DB6500's installed in my Nissan Titan. Running the factory Rockford deck with an ad on true 400 watts 4 channel Rockford amp (4004 model). The tweeters are very harsh with mid to high volume. They really over run the mids making it unplesant to listen to. I can adjust the gain but it controls the mids and highs together. Remember they are on the same wire from amp until the crossover. What can I do to lower the level (not the hertz) of the tweeter maintaining the level of the mids. There is no adjustment on the crossover that Polk provides with this model. HELP HELP HELP.

yes treble control. I want to turn the level(volume) of the tweeter down or midrange up. tweeter overrun the mids and is very unplesant harsh at a med to high vol.

If you don't like the sound of them on the passive crossover bi amp them. Remove the passive crossover and hook the tweeters to the fronts channels of your amp and run the mids to the rear channels of your amp.
Therefore you will be able to control the tweeters and the mids seperate. Just remember you will have no protection from blowing the tweeters this way so be careful when setting your crossover on your amp.
