Blown woofers - Monitor 4's?

Hello,

I have a pair of monitor 4's. There is little or no output from the woofers. I can trying pushing in on the cones and there is no movement, they will not budge. They should move pretty easily, is that correct? Is this a case of the voice coils jamming somehow after the woofers have blown?

Thanks

Yes, they should move freely and it's more a case of the woofers blowing because the voice coils fried. Did you have the bass control or boost turned up on your receiver?

    Thanks F1nut

Truth be known, I acquired these in this condition. It's a shame, cosmetic wise these are in excellent shape.
