Most people consider "classic rock" to be stuff from the late 60's to the early/mid 70's. If that is your criteria here are a few that I think should be in your collection.

Jimi Hendrix Experience Electric Ladyland, Band Of Gypsies

And so many more....these would give you a taste of what classic rock is/was all about.

Band of Gypsies - Machine Gun - a real killa cut!

I just got Motley Crue's Greatest Hits (The one released this week). They are considered Classic Rock now. ;)

A lot of the band's mentioned in this thread would be considered antique's if they were cars. I still love most of them though. :D

Of my 600+ CD's, which includes tons of 60's & 70's rock, I have to say that Bostons first album just continues to stand the test of time better than any other. I first owned this on 8-track, then the vinyl, later on cassette, and then CD. I must have listened to it thousands of times; it never gets old.

    I vaguely remember Moxy.

I hate classic rock radio stations.

    Carry on

Moxy - that brings me back. Not a consistent band but they had a lot of good rockers.

    Same for Goddo.

"Tough Times/C* On" - remember those two songs from the "Who Cares" album? Played together they were especially good.
