I wonder whether there has been a more successful model relaunch...
The most successful re-launch was Volkswagen's, New Beetle. That was a relaunch of epic proportions sales wise. I'm sure the Mini Cooper isn't far behind.audiobliss wrote:Well, that neighbor of yours is crazy. No telling how much power he has under the hood of that Cobra, but I'll bet it's enough to light up those rear tires at will! And given the fabulous lines of the Cobra, I'd never want to drive a Mini when a Cobra was available!
It's not all about HP. The Mini is a very well balanced car and is like driving a go-kart. Extremely exhilirating in a completely different way than a big muscle car.
I'd take the smaller sportier Lotus Elise over an Cobra Mustang anyday of the week.

First off, I'm sure the Mini Cooper is a great car to drive, and I know I'd never bad-mouth the Lotus Elise.
Second, 'cars' is very much a subjective thing like audio.
And last of all, I wasn't talkin' 'bout no stinkin' 'Mustang'.

You got it bliss...all subjective and I was never meaning to imply the Mustang was a bad car....it's just there are so many to choose from .
Yeah, I pretty much have a hard-on for that Cobra in the pic!!!!

I've owned a MG, a GTI, a GLI, SVO Focus...all well balanced nice performing cars. If you want somnthing to commute in every day...these are the ticket. Fun to drive, good manners, good gas mileage, reliable (even the MG)...
For fun....nothing beats horsepower...we're talking Z06, Mustang GT500, Viper, 911 horsepower. Slam your **** in the back of the seat horsepower. Actually all the cars I just mentioned have nice enough manners to drive every day....it just doesn't seem right to drive one to sit in traffic, get door dings in the parking lots and so forth."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

Who needs HP? Toss yourself on a two-wheeled machine with 85HP and you'll have more fun than any of those caged in vehiclesIf you will it, dude, it is no dream.

BUT...I wouldn't make it to the corner on one of those things! :eek:George Grand wrote: »

I sold the bike years ago. Minor accidents in a car = many surgeries (if you survive) on a bike. Too much first hand knowledge of what can happen on a bike to ever want to do it again."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais
