that must mean rainy weather, chilly wind, football and some Broken Rake by Pyramid. I do love living in the Pacific North West; even though the weather is crap, the beer is fantastic. And we are just starting to hit the winterbrew time of year. Thick, chewy ales that warm the soul and numb the senses.

I made a stop through their brewery last month while on Vacation, picked up about 12 different 22 Oz'ers while drinking a few fresh pints. Its pretty good stuff. We have a lot better local micro brews around here (micro brew capital of the world) like Widmer and Deschutes brewery. Sometimes I grab one of these Rogues and it can be skunky.

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

New Belgium 2Below Winter Ale. It's a little premature for a winter ale, but it's tasty nonetheless.

I just finished hashing out some of the worlds problems out front with Mr.Ted Jackson, the coolest man on the planet. He was drinking some kind of Portugese red wine that I provided him, and I was deeply in love with some Anniversario, a fine Venezuelan rum.

Have you tried Old Crustacean Barleywine or their Imperial IPA yet? They come in the ceramic bottles with the grolsch-style cap. They do have some phenomenal beers. I need to make my way out there sometime. I'm excited to see what Rogue will be offering at the Great American Beer Festival next week.

Ha, I'm curious to what it was too.

Today was a few glasses of Pinot Noir and a few glasses of Yellow Tail Cab at a engagement party. Then came home and had a few more glasses of grape. Now I'm drinking water so I don't smell like booze at physical therapy in the morning. :D
