Velodyne DD subs High-Level output integration for 2 channels audio

I know there are several Velo DD subs owners here, I am hoping if anyone can advise on how to properly integrate the sub for two channels. The pre/pro is B&K Reference 50 S2, which on direct (audio) by-pass LFE output (as it supposed to be). I am looking to hook the Velo ala REL and go from there. Right now, only the LFE connection is used (using SC single XLR).
Anyone who has succesfully integrate a Velo DD for two-channel audio only, please chime in.
Thanks in advance.

I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Yo Yo,
Why do you want to wire it for 2 channel in the theater gear? The B&K is more then able to control the sub using the notch filter to blend in for music playback. use the Lfe out and be done with it. The DD 15 isn't the best musical sub around but for movies, it's really powerful and quick. I find it to be slighty forward sounding.
What happened to the Rel?? Still have it? Use the Rel if you want better musical performance. If not just send the Rel here and I'll make good use of it.
Using speaker wire on the Velodyne I don't think you'll get better performance. I don't think it's worth the effort.

Dan,
what's up bud? Aren't you supposed to rewiring all your cable with Audioquest? (I'll try your Kimber)
Anyways, the REL ain't going anywhere, still happily supporting the LSi15. Everyone whom I talk to says that the Velo is more accurate than REL, so I am bored and thought I could play around with pairing the Velo with SF Cremona and see what happened. Is it even possible? Using hi-level speaker input level on the Velo from the amp's front speaker output? Thanks.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. polkatese,
Yes I should be re wiring my entire system but I figured I would take time out on my system and try to lend a helping hand in here.
Ok the sub, you you can run it with speaker wire. I suggest running a high quality 4 conductor or 2 pairs for left and right. Still keep your speakers connected directly to the amp so they also get full range signal. Basically your going to wire in the sub like Rel but your going to have the right and left negitive wire. Run the speakers with a song you know well and crosss over the sub around 40 hz or 60 hz. Turn the volume all the way down and bring it in slowly untill the bottom end has more weight. Just like you would setting up a Rel. I like to use a test signal and use a Meter for a starting point then bring it up or down to the way to room sounds.
The crossover will be hard to setup as you need to know what your mains are able to do. Know where they start to fall off, not where they can't play anymore. If they drop a few db's at lets say 36hz, then set the sub right there. I don't think the Velodyne will be as easy to blend in like the Rel and i can tell you from experience it will not sound as good for music. No way. It has to much power and the woofer slaps. It's way to snappy and forced sounding. It does it better then just about all other subs execpt your Rel.
You will soon learn after you do your shoot out. Post it , it should be a good read to read what your doing over there.

Thanks Dan. I'll give it a try and post back, once I have enough cables to run them through.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

To run the sub, pick up some 14-4 Audioquest bulk cable. It has a uncanny way of sounding really good for bulk wire. I like it.
