If it is just rain, be thankful. Middle of Tornado alley here, and a very ripe time of year.

The usual forcast? Rainfall rates of 3-5 inches per hour, strong downburst winds in excess of 70 mph (100mph is not uncommon), hail the size of golfballs minimum (softball/grapefruit sometimes), and cloud to ground lightning so often, you can hardly even LOOK outside...

But will I move? Hell no, its God's big show. Want to hear the best sound system in the world? Come to Texas and sit through some spring/fall thunderstorms. No sub, no speakers, no amp in the world can compete. And all on a 4000sq mile screen, for your viewing pleasure....(for you HT enthusiasts....)

    Cheers,

    Gotta love that Russ!:)

I swear to god I never heard a "real" thunderstorm until I moved to the midwest. Talk about Low "sub" producers! Man there was some thunder rumble two days ago, and I have never heard sound that low and deep before.

Denver it is of coarse really dry, so the thunder tends to be sharper and higher in pitch. Tends to produce more of that "cracking" sound.

Sorry, but Northern California got 105% normal rain fall for the year and it is currently 79 with a nice breeze. This will not last long, we will get back to the mid 90's to 100's.

    Mantis,

What part of PA do you live in? York county still has water use restrictions! Still cant wash the car unless you go to the car wash.
