get more subs

did any of you guys read the new home theater mag.
there is an artical about " fly in theater tourd"

in that theater is 16- 15" subs, and 9 speakers all "cat system"
i always though that you need at least one sub per channel
but this ultimate system haves 2 per channel.
it says they dont do it loud, they do it right
the system cost $750,000
