Man check this out,
I did this guys theater last week(lsi 25's LsiC Lsi7's for rears) and he had all the old series DVD collections. He had the complete DVD set Ultraman from the 60's and early 70's tv show. I was shocked and instantly wanted them.
We watched one and It was like being a kid all over again. He also had Space Giants and Johnny Sokko's Robot. Well off to Ebay I went and behold they where all on there.
I'm killing it dead and buying them all.

Yeah, I remember the original 70s series quite well. I believe the DVDs have to be imported from Japan, right?
There was also an Australian version made in the 90s as well. -
Was a Spectreman fan myself. The Australian version of Ultraman was brutal.

Yes an Import. I'm shoked places like Best Buy don't carry it. They have every other damn old tv show. But who cares Ebay is loaded with them.

Funny, but a few days ago I asked a few of friends if they remember watching Ultraman, but none of them ever heard of the show. It's been 30 years since I thought about Ultraman. I used to watch the show all the time.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

In a similar vein, anyone remember TOBOR the Eighth Man?? Great early-mid 60's japanese animation about a scientist and his do-good robot (tobor spelled backwards). I did some web searching about a year ago and found a whole fan website. I also enjoyed Ultraman but probably haven't seen an episode in probably 35 years.
