Just look for the words "Hospital Grade", that's good enough.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Pro photographer, does a lot of stuff for Audiogon and Stereophile.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Just wondering Doro/Russ what's the benefit of hospital grade. Durability, build quality, accuracy, less noise, better fit, more reliable ???

All of the above.
The *only* statement I will make now, on power cords, outlets, etc is the following:
You have a power source in your wall, how you choose to tap that source is up to you.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
There's actual standard for it but I'm too lazy to look it up.
A couple are improved clamping power, longer straps for installation, treated for resitance to chemicals....I'd say that you covered the idea.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Though this is really an advertisement for these recepticles, it does give you good information on the requirements and testing involved with hospital grade.
