Thanks .
I know for sure that they will sound better than my current setup. As far as going after the SR's, I do not think they will be at that level.Alpine: CDA-7949

The whole set, from the tweeter to the crossover, looks like it's way over built. They look awesome!George Grand wrote: »

Well, they're made in Germany. Over there "rainbow" roughly translates to "fiery courage." So they're not so wimpy after all. -
Awesome piece of gear... who cares about the name!!?? as long as they sound good... that's all that matters<|>

Got my Rainbows today. I will have to wait to put them in though. The x-over is pretty big, will have to figure out the best place to mount it. The thing has 165 different tuning options. The manual tells you which way to start depending on your installation so it's not as overwhelming as it seems. The other thing I have to figure out is where to mount the tweeter. They only give you a flush mount cup. I will either put them in my doors right below my current location (the window sail), or on the A-pillar. On my car the A-pillars are kind of angled towards the passengers so that my work out well. I am also going to see if I can use some of my left over mouting cups from my previous components. This may be difficult as the tweeter seems to have a pretty beefy little neodynium magnet/chambered back that my be to deep to mount in those. I will give that a shot first. Anyway, this set seems to be top notch from just looking and handling it. Can't wait to get them in my car. They came with some sticker on the box stating the high score they received on a review, it's in German though. I will give a little review a little later .Alpine: CDA-7949

at 3k per set - i dont see why anybody would bother... the SR's would most likely keep up with them for 1/4th of the cost... ...hell get 2 sets of SR's, mount them right next to each other, and put a disgusting amount of power on them. for 3 grand... ****.. it better have sex with me.The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge

Yeah, I agree. Ive always believed there is a point where the differences are no longer worth it.
Yeah a shotgun is a more effective killing tool than a .38 Special but if I shoot one person with the shotgun and then another with the .38, will the one shot with the shotgun be any more dead?polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
