    Sound?

They sound the same (overall) the bass is ALOT tighter than before, and due to that, the 60hz hump they have is more pronounced than before...

The high end is more detailed and defined, I think its more so due to them being mirror imaged now...

They sound better to me.... Im all out of mods though unless I switch out the internal wiring (which I plan to do one day! ;)

Ive already rebuilt the enclosures...fully modded the xovers with a modified tweeter network... binding post... all thats left is the internal wiring! hehe

    and thanks!

This enclosure is INERT..it dosnt vibrate AT ALL...

Maybe it's just the flash, but that looks like a heinous finish to have sitting anywhere other than in a garage.

    BP10B6.jpg

    BP10B7.jpg
I had really high expectations with this panel, I loved the way the knots looked, all that. But I was dissapointed when certain parts of the panel were splotchy for some reason...

    BP10B8.jpg

This was my favorite of the four, that white stripe is gorgeous, I wish they all had it...

It's cedar, which is a very oily wood. You have to seal it with wax free shellac before any other clear coat is applied to avoid the splotchy issues. I told you to call me first, eh!

They are bipolar towers. Front and Rear array.

The rear has the port and post.

I like the improvement, the enclosures are 100% inert and the mirror imaging really helps with staging and definition... the new enclosure really cleans up the bass as well.

    Thanks for the comments! :)

I'm with you 110% brett. Looks ugly, doesn't match the now gorgeous side panels (sexy and slick meets rough and ugly). Sure I'm sure it helped the SQ but I wouldn't put those in a pitch black room in my house. Just opinions though...

It seems to be 70/30 - like/hate it. I personally like it alot...

Id be curious to see if you guys that do hate it (and admit it) - would still hate it if you saw it in person. Because like all things, the pictures dont quite do it.

I'm kind of 50/50 on it. I really love the wood, but not sure how I feel about a bumpy black finish. But you probably would sway me if I saw them in person. (either way, they look very professional).

Nice job Sid. I think the finish is just one of those things that won't photograph well, I'm sure it looks better in person. The flash can have that effect, it tends to make the texture look more rough that it is. Hope this makes sense.

The flash highlights every "grit" on the truck bed liner...

In person, only the top portion reflecting off the light has that "sparkle" - where as the rest is a jet black.

For me, visually or not, that texture is not something that I'd ever want on something that I'd have inside my house doing what they'd be doing......to each their own though.
