i can get one new unopened,how would it compere to other players,in the $300 range.how is the sound and pq?I'm SICK of buying dvd players that die after a year or two,so that why i like this es peice b/c of the 5 year warnty.and also is there any polksters in the kc,mo area{ls} that knows the mx-700 remote need help with that one thx greenranger

    That's an excellent deal. The previous SCD-555ES(CDP/SACD) has been the benchmark in my 2CH rig for years.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
