RG6 Coaxial as component cables

This is the nephew of ghsisme.
After realizing the prices of component cables, I decided to make my own cables out of basic RG6 bulk coaxial cabling from radioshack, and gold plated connectors from parts express. When using the 2 meter lengths as interconnects for the connectino between the TV and the DVD player, I have noticed no differences in the picture quality between the custom RG6 cables and brand name component interconnects. They arent that bad looking either.

Good job. Try it with 3 Ghz sweep. You'll see a difference then.

Here's the deal,
Once you have a solid 75 ohm connection, good quality video cables, nothing can go wrong. I also have not found better picture with high end video cables. It takes the sharpest eye to even find the difference. You can see it if you spend your time looking, swapping back and forth between the same thing/scene. But I don't think they are worth the asking price.
What you made should work perfectly. As long as your connections are clean and perfectly seated in the connector
