technics sl-mc7

i have a techinics sl-mc7 110 disc cd changer. when the cd player ejects cds, it only does it half way therefore when the changer tries to move to pick up another cd, it gets stuck because the last cd is still half way in still. anyone know what is wrong or how to fix this. i have taken the top off and cant see any obvious problems. any suggestions or help is appreciated. thanks
