    SCREW YOU GUYS!

I guessed $499 and Thom said "much less" -- but MSRP is $425 ... Dammit I was close... I'm giving myself a cookie...

    *cartman voice* "screw you guys".

The SR6500 has been at MSRP of $899 from the start. Tweeter sells it for $749. If the SR124's MSRP is $425, it will most likely sell for $375- $400. And the SR104 is a bit cheaper.

Ahh... well that's cool. That's right around where the 1st Generation Momo was at when it came out. Sounds fair to me :)

I suppose I'm going to have to wait and just get these subs. Any clues on what the power handing is going to be on these?

    ew.

Mac... the Crossfire VR602 is the same size...

    same power

50% higher damping factor over the 600D
11% higher signal to noise ratio over the 600D

    probably the same price.

does its power at 4 ohms bridged... so i'm sure you can swing a singel 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm coil polk SR sub.

it's not like you're lookin for a 1500 - 2500 watt amp, in which case a class D will be about half to 1/3 of the price... possibly be a bit smaller... and the heat loss due to inefficiency would put a big weight on your power ssytem as well as just plain build up heat.... with only 600w i feel you can go class AB from the same manufacturer, get the same power with better characteristics, and be happier.

Well, that damping factor difference will be inaudible as will the signal to noise difference. Plus, Crossfire's Class D amps are not only insanely powerful but effecient as well. CA&E tested one recently and it made 767x1 at 1 ohm, .1% THD at 79% (!) effeciency!

Now dont get me wrong, Im a big fan of their stereo amps as well as I have their VR302 running my beloved MM2104 right now but their Class D amps are made to pound their guts out and never so much as whimper.

Also a nice little bonus is the 600D is about half the size of the 602.
