I am looking for a 42" - 50" size. And what are the best ones on the market for around $2000?

You will not get into a 42 let alone 50 for 2 grand. But if you looking for a great plasma that don't cost alot, then check out Panasonic. they make the very best budget plasmas on the market.

Sams Club has an Akai 50" HD plasma for $1999
Edit: It is the ONLY one on the market for that price.Vinyl, the final frontier...

I'm a Panasonic fan as well. Bought my RPHDTV over 5 years and it still looks fantastic. You may be able to go DLP for $2000 (but that may be tight), but you won't get the greatest plasma at for that. Check Sears (on-line), they seem to have good prices on TVs.Denon AVR-3803

The pro-level Panny's come in at $2k, but they have no tuner, no PIP, no DVI or HDMI, no speaks, no stand or mount and you'll probably have to pay shipping form an on-line source.
I don't need most of that stuff, so I'm getting one with a wall-mount and shipping. I'll pick up a DVI card once the funding builds back up.
