Went in with my wife to her work to help them clean up their store room and found this, a MINT Sony TC-270 RTR. I mean MINT condition. It also came with some detachable speakers for portability. Now I need to find some media to test it out with.

"Reel" nice! My friend had that player when we were in college. It had the detachable speakers, sounded great. Listened to LZ IV "Goin' to California", etc. and Traffic's "Low Spark" those were the tunes of the times we had on that player.

Where can I find some tapes. I have a few, but they are stored in Memphis somewhere. I left all that stuff and my vinyl with my parents and my father has the r2r tapes stored and most likely in the box that's hardest to get to.

So, anyone know of where I can find r2r tapes, some pre-recorded ones would be really cool, but I'd have to assume they are very rare.

Does anyone have any idea what this R2R is worth, if in 9 of 10 condition?

Really, it's like new. From what I can gather from the people at the bank, it was only used a few times.

    It's a Sony TC-270, btw.

Just put it up for sale in the FM for $140+ s&h

Thanks to SCompRacer for providing some info of the value.

Aaah. Didn't know you were gonna sell so soon. I was gonna suggest audiokarma if you need hook ups on media. Good luck with your sale.
