My interest has recently been turned to the SDA line. I'd like a set of SDA-1's, but cannot choose which model to pick. (1, 1C, etc.). Does anyone have any true information on which is "better"?
Thanks A Lot!

(I have the same question on my Monitor 10 post, but thought more responses would come from this one)

Thanks for all your info!!

No doubt, you want the 1C. It is the highest performing and latest version of the SDA 1 series. There are a couple of pairs of 1C's on Audiogon (www.audiogon.com) right now.

I want larger speakers to use as fronts in my home theater system. The 1.2TL's would not be a good timbre match for the SDA CRS+ speakers I am using as centers and the SDA 1C speakers I am using as rears. The TL series uses a different tweeter than the non-TL series.;)

    Hey,
even though I am only 14 I have a very strong passion for sound reproduction. My father has a pair of sda1b s' They still sound outstanding. You don't need a a sub because they already rattle the ground.... belive me my neighbors are over every day  But the only thing I would recomend is if you get a pair is replace the tweeters because if they haven't already been replaced you will notice a weakness in the treble extension. Alough that might not be true for every sda speaker. And I bought a pair of Rt55i bookshelf speakers on my own I have to tell everyone because I'm proun of myself.

Really...! I have yet to find a person who owns a pair.. I think its a shame they aren't making the wood front version of them. I swear since I have a mid /small room they sound like floorstanding speakers (amazing)!! What wood finish do you have it in? I have it in black oak...... very sexy!

I've got mine in cherry, very attractive cherry I might add! I agree that the 55i's sound and perform like a tower!

I also own (all of these are in black) a pair of RT800i's, 2 pair of RT35i's, a pair of F/X 500i's, and a CS400i. I might still bag a CS245i for a rear center in a 6.1 system at some point to complete my interests in home theater.

    Enjoy those 55i's.

Have you heard the new LSi series, They sound pretty good but I don't think they sound as good as the RTi series I don't know why; the RTi series just has a warm spacious feeling same with the SDA s' alough the LSi s' have a litte better imaging . And I heard a pair of B&W nautilis 800 s DAMN

My next pair of speakers will be the Dynaudio Audience 82's ... SNIKIES! They are awesome!

I haven't heard the LSi line, but from all accounts they are superior to our RT line ... but all that matters is what sounds good to us!

    mcowan,

If you don't mind, why you are selling your 1.2's? Some members in the Forum are interested with it like raife 1. I would like to have another pair but I just bought a house, so maybe sooner...
and I'm moving this Sunday so all my units are packed.

    Har

...I won't let mine go till the end of the world, SRS 2.3TL & 1.2TL's...
