Glad you both had a great time. Is it an all inclusive resort? Looks awesome! I'm tired of winter already and we haven't been hit very hard at all here in Maryland. I want SUMMER for crying out loud!

It was all inclusive. Our room was the last set of 3 story buildings. Top floor with ocean/pool and as seen in some pics (from balcony) montain views as well. We only did on excursion where we went snorkling with reef sharks, rays and other fish. I have pics of those but they need to be scanned.

Nice attempt at slowly backing out and changing the subject....but he never even said they had a good time.

Willow - Looks like you had a great time. Those are beautiful pictures! Even worthy of taking up my HDD space!

Yes Yes great memories we have of that place. How about the Air port?? Not what I expected. Basically outdoors. When the plane lands, your outside. Not like at Phila.

The Island is really only that beautiful at the resorts, outside of that it's killed. My wife kinda got alittle scared when we where riding in the bus to the resort. It was like out of a movie.

All in all we had a hell of a time. hey did you get any Mamawanna?? The Island shot? That shot is awesome. I have some here at home we Imported.

I have some pics I'll post em later.

HT- We had a great time. It rained yes. at night a couple times but we had a storm on the Sunday. That was ok with me cause I was sick...sick...sick. I had NO idea my body could expel that much fluid
No it's not near the Bavaro, there are only a couple hotels in our area Secrets, ours Sunscape the beach and another. You maybe thinking of Sunscape, they have a sister hotel 1 hr away from ours near the aiport.

Cfrizz-thanks feels good to be back. I can drink my tap water( which doesn't smell like dirty lake water) and I can eat anything without being worried about getting sick....oh and the food here has flavor ;)

Mantis- Yes the airport adn even the whole Hotel was that open concept. Everything is open, no doors except for our actaul room had doors. What freaked us out a bit was onthe bus ride as well....they drive like maniacs on roads which even the dirt road at my cottage are in better shape. We saw men walking around with shotguns. 3 kids on a motorbike, no helmets and drinking a beer (while driving).

We did take a trip to a lil village we walked there just the 2 of us. we talked to some people...man we have it good in North America..
Some hotel staff work 11 days straight 12hr shifts and live at the hotel for those 12 days then go home for 3 days. All that for 1-300$ month.

Now if some one could help me resize 3 pics I'd be very happy.
    Thanks
    JF

I think my wife is hooked on the concept too. She wants to start a tradition of taking a trip in January. The weather sucks here (lots of rain, but not cold enough to snow) and its pretty appealing after all the holiday stresses.

I was just in Punta Cana this christmas for a wedding. From you pictures I think I was at a different part of the resort though. It is a beautiful place, it can get pretty expensive though, especially drinks. Glad you had a good time.

Hmmm drinks... we didn't have to pay for a thing..not true the actual cost of the trip.

Shizelbs- it is nice in Jan to get away. I think that's when we'll go every year as well.

I'd love to get away in January..if it weren't for the kids...school.....

Do it while you can, since you won't be able to do it again until your kids go away!!!
