I think the only person that has actually performed this, to my knowledge, is Aardvark.

    It's basically a router operation...if you're comfortable with that tool, you're golden.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

He's not really going to try it. It's just a test. :p

has anyone tried just replacing the main tweeter in each cabinet..leaving the sda tweeter alone.....so keeping two sl1000 or 2000 tweeters and going silk dome on the others. I am a serious lover of polk sda's. This is one of two pairs i own. i also own the sda crs+ model...my favorite so far. I have had the pleasure of interviewing Mathew Polk on my radio show last year...but I had not tried the sda's at that time. I would have had many other questions for him!

This process can be done with either a router or a jig saw. Make you a template out of paper, the diameter of the driver , minus the flange.
Trace it on to your baffle. If you cut to the inside of the line, even if you use a jig saw , nobody will know the difference but you.
    Hope that helps
