Dude..

How many coats of clear did you put on your sub?

Because Im on my 2nd coat, I plan to put four...

Dude each coat looks better...and better. Wow, so purdy!

Cant wait till I get these things cleared...

Looks like it will take a week or two (or three) lol...

Do you got any pics of your sub with the clear?

I put on only two coats. Too lazy to put more coats on. Now that you mention it, since my Atlas 15" has been sent to the shop, now's a good time to put a couple more coats on.

I used semi-gloss because I don't want it too shiny that it'll stand out in the room. Got it mostly hidden from view anyway.

BTW, I just finished adding two coats of poly on my Titanic sub. Looked dull and lifeless before, but now it is showroom worthy. Makes a huge difference even though this sub will be totally hidden.

No pics, but it looks nice. Thanks for the poly over bed liner idea.

    Awesome Early...

It looks so much better dont it? I also like the fact it seals the finish, since that "grit" on the truck bed liner kind of flakes off at times...

I really like the way it looks...and that cedar is PURDY.

I stopped with an extra thick 5th coat. That's when I ran out of poly. That stuff has a potent odor to it. Can't drag the box back into the house until the smell goes away.

    It does man... lol

Im thinking of investing in a bottle of febreeze... ;)

Im done clearing the entire enclosure, I am just applying coats to the end grain of the cedar on one side as it is soaking the crap out of this clear, but it is slowly taking it in.
