Very nice pics CR. Made me forget that I even have a wife lol. I know I could be taking this whole thing a lot harder than I really am. But I'm not. I guess we both knew this wasn't going to last. I guess I'm ok with that.

    Thomas,
Sorry to hear about your recent troubles. The way I look at things is that sometimes things happen for a reason, they may suck at the current time but things will look up for you in the end.

Anyone can eff-up. If she doesn't want to stand by you there is nothing you can do. Actually there is. Be the person you want to be from this point on and you will do well for yourself. That is all any of us can do. The best part is that if you are all you can be from this day forward then she is really the one loosing. So sad with children in the picture. My bets are on you my friend, not her. Just don't let the kids take the loss. As they grow up they will see how you conduct yourself and will learn from it.

Dude, even better that she has the kids. Let her deal with the stress and the pressure of raising them. More alone/private time for you then putting up with the stress of handling kids. I've actually seen kids raised better with single parents then with both parents. As long as you make the little time that you spend with your kids a moment worth remembering, that is what counts. And when they're not around you can be a party animal all you want. A win win situation if you ask me.

I was going to stay out of this. however, this little bit of crap just can't be ignored!

They are BOTH responsible for these children, both emotionally & financially. A good many of my friends picked losers for husband who after they dumped them proceeded to forget their responsibilities towards their children.

Attitudes like yours make me sick. However, a good judge in court can break that "party animal" attitude pretty damn quick, via lots of child support!

Refuse to shoulder your responsibility & you can find yourself in a great deal of trouble with the law.

Thomas seems like the responsible type, and I'm sure He will do the right & responsible thing.

Sorry for the trouble you are going through, but I think things will work out for all of you in the end.

You have got to be kidding me, right??

Are there still people like this?..............Stupid question...I know...I know!!!!!

Please tell me that you don't have any children.

While there MAY be a few kids out there that are better off not being around one or even both of their real parents, that is by far the exception to the rule. Anyone with a little psychology, or better yet some common sense, knows that a child, in MOST circumstances, becomes a MUCH, MUCH better adjusted adult when raised by BOTH parents.

    MSkeezer,
First off I wish only the best for you and your future Ex-wife. Seems as though there are lessons to be learned on both sides. First and foremost (this is where I'll get flamed for sure...), **** around when you have a made a commitment to someone else is simply wrong. It doesn't matter who went first or how many times, anyway you look at it, its simply wrong.....both of you were wrong. Once someones trust in you has been destroyed by something like this, it simply adds insult to injury. Sorry to be the hard-**** here but thats the way I see it.

As far as your kids are concerned, joint custody seems like the right thing to do. You helped make 'em, you need to man-up and finish the job by helping raise them. Spend as much time with them as possible and NEVER bad mouth their mother in front of them.

Dude, even better that she has the kids.
    Taurus574,
I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate that you don't have kids. I can't imagine anyone that does making an asinine comment like that.

Frank, you won't be flamed by me & not by any REAL man on this board for knowing the difference between right & wrong, and knowing how to keep your word & shouldering your part of the responsibility of relationships & children!

My admiration & respect for you continues to grow! :)

This is probably the Dumbest **** statement I've read in this forum in a long, long time.

Wow. Some not so good comments by Taurus. I have absolutely no plans of abandoning my children. I know what you're trying to get at, but, that's not me. I was there at their conceptions(at least I hope it was me :p ), I was there at their birth, and I'll be there for them for the rest of their lives.

Trust me, guys. I know I **** up in this marriage. I never should have cheated on her and I realize that. But I can't dwell on it, and I can't keep apologizing for it. If she can't forgive and forget, then that's on her. There's nothing else I can do about it.

I've already moved to the new place. It's actually really nice. It's beside the lake, and I have full permission to turn the living room into a home theater. My roommate is pretty cool about stuff like that. He doesn't mind speakers on the wall or having a huge subwoofer. The only thing he doesn't want is a lot of wire all over the place. Which works out fine because I don't, either.

DKG was right. This would be the perfect place for an Illinois Polk gathering :)
