hey polkies! just got home from miami. i finished! :D:D my time was 5 hours 47 minutes. that was within my, 'i have no idea' goal of 4.5 hrs to 6 hrs. my 13.1 mile time (half way) was 2 hrs 38. not bad i guess :) . at mile 20, my knees started going. i had to walk 1/4 mile then run. as time went on i walked more. every time i ran i had to really grit my teeth and go! i feel pretty good for my 1st time! :) i lucked out, in that my wife, mom & dad and sister were there at 10.5, 15 and 25 miles. a great experience i will always treasure! now, i'm tossing back some Cerveza Bahia beers. it hasn't hit me yet: i need sleep!! thanks for all your well-wishes, ladies & gents! :D

congrats on finishing! that is quite an accomplishment. you have a lot to be proud of.

if you got any run left in you by May.. check out Bloomsday Race the first Sunday in May. it's about 50,000 people big. It's now where near a marathon, but a fun 12K race anyways. :)
    PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert
