    Is that totally gone now?

I've found some quad stuff on the net encoded into dts. It's not bad, money by floyd is a trip, couple other on the album arent to bad either, but some effects are just not right(they were trying to hard to make it trippy I think)

Try sda's, you don't need a center, rears, sides, tops, bottoms, or subs.
I think you get my point

Dude...I have the SDA SRS...and I'm picking up a pair of SDA 2.3 tl's this weekend. Sadly, I don't have the room to use the 2.3's for the rear channel, so I'll just use them in the upstairs system.

It's not set up yet, I should be getting my 5 amplifiers back from the shop this week. Right now I'm in the processs of collecting odds and ends to put everything together (interconnects, cables...etc).

I was thinking of hanging a pair of LSi Fx from the ceiling.....hmmm....
    Amplifiers: 1-SAE Mark IV, 4-SAE 2400, 1-SAE 2500, 2-SAE 2600, 1-Buttkicker BKA 1000N w/2-tactile transducers. Sources: Sony BDP CX7000es, Sony CX300/CX400/CX450/CX455, SAE 8000 tuner, Akai 4000D R2R, Technics 1100A TT, Epson 8500UB with Carada 100". Speakers:Polk SDA SRS, 3.1TL, FXi5, FXi3, 2-SVS 20-29, Yamaha, SVS center sub. Power:2-Monster HTS3500, Furman M-8D & RR16 Plus. 2-SAE 4000 X-overs, SAE 5000a noise reduction, MSB Link DAC III, MSB Powerbase, Behringer 2496, Monarchy DIP 24/96.

Hell, I don't even own a multi-channel anything. I watch movies in good ole 2.1 through SDA 2As with a little JBL E150P sub, which might surprise a few of you, especially when I happen to play some music through that rig.

Of course the main rig is a music only, no sub needed, rig.
Then the other rig is an all tube rig for music only, no sub. Might hook up the little 10" Audiosource powered sub with the tube rig when I move it into the living room, just for some low-end oomph(keepin it realistic of course).

i chill out to 7 channel stereo. logic7 works pretty well, but i feel it over-emphasizes certain sounds and/or vocals. 7 channel stereo is more laid back and neutral, but still very enveloping.

For me if I am actually listening to music I use direct mode. (fronts only full-range, no sub)

If I am just creating background noise while doing other stuff, I use 5 channel stereo.
(fronts set to small, crossed over at 80hz - my normal HT setting)

I listen to my dog snore in my ear, at 3AM in 1.0....which wakes me up, causes me to **** about it in 2.0 and in turn wakes my wife, who then has the uncanny ability to complain in full 7.1 DTS Surround Sound.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Will not listen to music on the HT. Other half has to when I'm not around... not free to use the 2ch rig. ;) However, she only listens to CDs and XM in 2ch mode without sub.

    Is your wife THX certified?

I listen in two channel because it's what I have. I did the whole 6 channel stereo thing and I think it sucked. it was only good for making things louder. It completely destroyed any type of depth or imaging you'd want to create as a soundstage. It certainly was loud though, and sometimes thats just what you need.
