The Colts should have never rested their starters in the last of the season, (clinch or no clinch). They aren't a play-at-will type of team, they are more of a great momentum riding team, that loves streaks. When the streak is over, they can't get back into the groove.

One reason Im not too tore up over the Colts losing is I dont like the way Dunge plays. The last game of the season he doesnt play Manning or any of his starters. This is pussified if you ask me. Yeah I know he's thinking of the long term but what about all the fans? They didnt pay $100 a ticket to watch the waterboys play! He did this last year too and I dont like it. Id rather see them play one game at a time and give it 100% every game.

    Carolina played a great game...

Da* Bears - wheres the the D in Da in that name eh? I saw no defense - 400 + total yards...

And BTW - Rex Grossman... he waxes his eyebrows or something - that guys face looks freaking weird...

Carolina takes it! Bring on Seattle!

Colts lost - I wasnt very surprised either... lol - but that kick was so off...

Speaking of kicks... Kasay scares me to death... he really does. If we lose next week, it'll probally be on his shoulders... Wow - what a scary guy. I hope he retires.

I really wanted to see the colts beat the steelers today. But they really put a **** whipen on them today. The steelers deserved to win this game by all means. The colts offense played like ****. They need to go home and hide somewhere.

Four very entertaining games this weekend...

Now by contrast the Conference Championship weekend games ususally suck...

I'm saying Hawks / Steelers in SB XL...
    More later,

Seahawks I don't see as being definitively better than Carolina by any stretch, not after what Carolina did to the Bears 'Defense' today. I'm also not so sure that Denver can stop the Steelers. Then again none of these predictions mean jack, that's why we play the games. Remember that both Carolina and Pitt had touchdowns taken away from them this weekend, and they were CLEARLY touchdowns. :p

It's also a meaningless stat. Like no team wins at Lambeau when the weather is below 'Blah blah blah'....it's superstition at best that's used to mind eff your opponent, that is until it's shattered and they move on to the next pointless 'stat'. If 2 have won it as Wildcards that pretty much shatters the notion that it can't happen, eh?

It might be meaningless to you, but I wouldn't bet my money that way as a rule. In fact I will take your wild card bet as a standing bet from now on............Out of over 200 wild card teams only 7 have made it to the big one with 3 winning.

Well...it is a meaningless stat, sorry to say. It has nothing to do with the teams that are playing the game. As I said...it's superstition at best. Fortunately for me, depending on how you want to look at it, i'm just a fan of the sport right now and not of any particular team. The Steelers are playing good game right now and have shown that they can win in the most hostile of environments. An outdoor old school team playing a speed game indoors and they really did man-handle that team today. Denver played a hell of a game too. It's probably going to be the best of the two next weekend.

Seahawks? Well...They didn't impress me, even when Shaun Alexander was in the game he wasn't doing anything against the Redskins defense. They're a good team, but if they play like they did against the Skins next weekend they'll be staying home in the rain.

Like I said...that's why we play these games and all these meaningless stats get thrown out the window on gameday. All I heard about today was how Indy couldn't possibly lose, and well...they lost. In fact several of the pre-game guys were already talking about the Denver VS Indy game....little pre-mature.

Looking so forward to the game next week. I was golfing this afternoon, and my wife called me screaming...Pittsburgh WON!! I was in total shock. Now Denver has the opprotunity to make it back.

Watched the Broncos game and had a blast jumpin' up and down like a lunatic. I was almost as insane as Deb was. :p

Had the Steelers game on in the garage today while I was doing some welding...almost **** myself when Bettis fumbled and took it upon my self to relay to the neighbors my displeasure by screaming a string of obscenities that I happen to pick up while I was in the Marine Corps. Needless to say the neighborhood youths will be staying away from "That Crazy ****'s House" for sometime. :D

    yeah...

When Bettis fumbled that ball... my mouth was open...

ALMOST as far as when the Colts kicker missed the FG... because then I was laughing incredibly hard...

    GREAT stuff...

    Panthers + Broncos = Superbowl

Wildcards not winning SB's is not a meaningless stat or superstition. It's a very hard fact of life. They have to play every game on the road and they have to play (and win) more games. If you put your money on wildcards to win the SB you'll lose 99% of the time. Denver or Seattle will win it TY.
In order for Carolina to even get there they will have had to win 4 games in a row on the road, counting their last game of the season at Atlanta which they needed just to get into the playoffs. That's 4 very highly emotional games in a row and on the road. That takes it's toll especially with the injuries they suffered in this last game. All Seattle has to do is win 2 at home. They were rusty this week (and still won by 10) but don't count on it next week.
Once in a blue moon a team comes along that has a shot. Pittsburgh is playing very well lately and peaking at the right time but Denver is 9-0 at home this year and more rested.
Looks like Denver and Seattle in the SB to me.

I thought they said not since 1979. I didn't bother checking, so this may be wrong. I know the Steelers broke some stat that had not been broken since 1979. I thought this was it.

    BTW,
    GO STEELERS!
