PSW-202 problem

I'm having the same problem everyone on here is having with their PSW 202. While i think it's probably best to send the amp in to you for repair, will we get back a fixed but ultimately defective amp that we may have problems with in the future? Also, my subwoofer was a present for Christmas and I do not have the original sales receipt.
Would I be better off ordering some sort of aftermarket amp like a Dayton from partsexpress or something for about $70? Will Polk charge me something in that neighborhood to just fix my current amp?

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Works great now. Simply amazing customer service on Polks part. Great to see a company stand by their products long term. I'm a customer for life.
