Does anyone know what the -3db point is for the low frequency on the old SDA-1c's? Thanks.

Good speakers. What I would do to make sure you are getting the most bass:
    - gently check to make sure that the 4 phillips head screws holding in each 6 1/2" driver are nice and snug. Over time these can loosen. Just don't over do it. This can provide better detail in low end response (no mechanical energy lost between driver and cabinet interface).
    - I don't remember for sure but I believe this was before there were spikes or feet provided with the SDA Series. Some aftermarket spikes or cones may also help depending on your floor surface and covering.
    - follow the setup instructions in the manual, speakers equal distance from rear wall, facing forward, at least 2 feet from side walls if at all possible.
    - bass response of power amp is a factor also. cables too.

Don't know what your listening tastes run to but just for take a listen to Led Zepplin "Whole Lot of Love", Jean Michael Jarre "Oxegene II", or Herbie Hancock "Headhunters". THose are all great SDA cuts, lots of fun.

Thanks for the info. I have had these for a while and am going to be integrating them into an HT setup. I usually check the screws once a year. Might as well do that today since I have just reglued and clamped one of the side panels. They are before the spikes so each one sits on a nice spiked oak base that matches the oak top and bottom perfectly. In the stereo days they were powered by a set of Adcom GFA-565's. Right now they are being powered by a set of Marantz MA-500's but I may step them up to MA-700's. The Marantz doesn't have the bass punch of the Adcom but I like the midrange better.

I saw your comment re: SDA 1-Cs. I still own a pair of studio black SDA 1-Cs, and would like to know the weight of each speaker (I want to order some Vibrapods to place under each, thus I need to know the weight of each speaker.) Your help, or that of another reader, is appreciated.
