You took off the the most iconic part -- the red font that makes it look like a Coca Cola cap! I wonder if they ever got any legal threats because of that!

    It all had to go...LOL

The artwork on their '74 debut album cover was originally intended to be used for the Stones. While the pop-looking art won an award, it doesn?t match the music on the album. Subsequent album art releases reflected what you would expect from someone referred to as "Metal Gods." Matter of fact, the album reissue has a way different cover.

Hint: this album was released in 1989. The title of the album is the same as the artist's name. The band formed from the ashes of an influential alternative rock band that recorded between 1980 and 1983.

    Bauhaus??
    AllMusic wrote:
Bauhaus are the founding fathers of goth rock, creating a minimalistic, overbearingly gloomy style of post-punk rock driven by jagged guitar chords and cold, distant synthesizers. Throughout their brief career, the band explored all the variations on their bleak musical ideas, adding elements of glam rock, experimental electronic rock, funk, and heavy metal. While their following has never expanded beyond a cult, they kept their cult alive well into the '90s, a full decade after they disbanded.

Actually, the cover I posted was released a few years earlier than Joe?s But Seriously, Folks.

During this album shoot, the band nearly lost one of the group. All four of them jumped in the pool fully clothed for a group picture. Three came to the surface after 30 seconds, while one remained under.... a lot longer. He couldn?t swim but didn?t want to say anything to spoil the shoot.

Reaching back here?.another English rock band that formed in1968. They charted well over here and in the UK. This was their fourth album release in 1973. One of their songs was covered and used in the 1991 movie Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. Group name, light tinctures called metal. Album name, figuratively as you see it. Listening to them makes you hold your head up.

A side note about this group,,, back in the seventies,,we were at an evening outdoor concert,,festival atmosphere,,as the evening turned to night and folks were stoned, etc and starting to fade away,,a voice rings out,,as if from the heavens"hold your head high",,he,he,,people were looking around trying to figure out who/where this voice/command was coming from,as the satge was dark,,,that repeated command of "hold your head up/high got people moving-shaking etc-- I suppose the point was the group "Argent' did have a pretty good "connection" with their audience.Enough of my old man ramblings.Rock on guys.

    Early bird catches the hint...

Being an old Rod Argent/ The Zombies fan kinda embarrassed I didn't know this one especially since I have it on the B-side of a college days, dorm-made tape... A-side is All Together Now.

Not sure how they determine that. You quickly figure out who to spend your money with. I stayed with the $1 - $3 bins and came away with 13 Hipgnosis covers out of 43 albums. One foot away your $2 LP can be selling for $10 and be in worse shape.

As far as the cover goes....

We had a 1995 compilation album cover appear from this band earlier in the game. They are an alternative/college rock band formed in 1980 and hail from New Jersey. This is their third studio album, a 1986 release. The band took their name from a catchphrase Yosemite Sam used. Album title, something personal.

And I also own this album and was listening to it the other day.

    Smithereens - Especially for You

I SHOULD have been able to get this. I purchased this LP from Mr. Grand just two weeks ago. Not played it yet. If I had just looked through my stack of LPs to be played, it was 2nd from the top.
