MM6500 replacement

I am fairly certain that one of my 6.5" drivers may have become damaged as it now makes a popping noise when reproducing low bass notes. I have always made certain not to push these speakers nor my system into clipping or beyond the ratings of it's components.
Having purchased them less then a year ago they are still under warranty. Living in the San Diego area, can I bring the damaged speaker along with a copy of the original sales receipt down to the nice people at Polk's warranty service dept. aka Kim, to receive a replacement as I once did with a faulty DX6500 driver. Or, will I need to obtain an RMA number from Polk prior to doing so.

Hello,
It would be best to telephone them first at 1-888-267-5495 to schedule an appointment.
