What subwoofer?

Just bought some RTi8's and a SCi5 center. I want to upgrade my subwoofer. I an considering the PSW505. I have heard some solid reviews on the Velodyne (DSP12). What do you guys think?

    Velodyne. Been the big boy on the block for as long as anyone, and continue to make a reasonably priced and feature laden product. There are others that I'm sure you will hear of here and elsewhere, but for what you have (8's and an "i" center) the Velodyne would make a good match. Don't pay retail if you can help it. Get the search going

    At least the two you're interested in may be available locally to go listen too.. I'm really interested in how the PSW505 sounds and found one new for $350+shp, but in talking with folks here, -I may of been left wanting, with others subs out there playing even lower and louder.. Velodyne was a top lister with me too, but look at the reviews here and else where, I think you may find them helpfull in you process. I leaned towards HSU, SVS, and Outlaw.. ANd just bought a big Outlaw, some good reviews at Outlawaudio.com, but research a bit, decide your budget, listen too them if at all possible, and find a place that will allow you to send them back in 30-45 days if you are not satisfied.. I would of loved to hear a few SVS', but decided to leap into an Outlaw and have 30 days to review it, most of the named company's will do the same.. Rm size would also play a role in your decision making.. most folks here say streatch your budget and get the most that you can for you $$.. Good luck and have fun!
