csi5 on top of a toshiba dlp

I have ordered a csi5 and was wondering if anyone has placed one of these puppies on top of their dlp tvs. I bought a omnimount center channel speaker stand but I am just not convinced that my tv will stand a 30 lb speaker on top of it. I was hoping someone was more adventurous than me.

I have a toshiba 52" and went with the matching stand. I would just put the center speaker in the stand but it doesnt fit their either due to the limited spacing.

I wouldn't use it I would invest in some kind of wall mounting. have a custom cabnet builder build you a shelf over your tv.

I have the same problem this is one of the things I might do. I'm also considering have a custom builder come over and build me a nice shelf.

I had the same problem with my center channel (cs400i) its around the same weight, i tried it with one of the the omnimounts for a while and I noticed the middle of the t.v. (60'' sony LCD) started to sag a bit not to mention the tweeter was way to high even with the omnimount tilted down as far as it would go so what I did was went to radioshack and got me a couple of bannna plugs to make hooking and unhooking the speaker less difficult and got a small shelf around 20'' high to set the speaker on while watching movies, I only listen to music in 2 channel , this not only got the speaker down closer to ear level but when your not using it simple unhook it and slide the shelf and speaker out of the way or in a closet and it was a lot cheaper than alot of other options you might look at
