HK 3480 & R50s, i think left receiver channel dead after one week

I purchased the R50s and the polk 10" powered sub a while back but didnt have time to research receivers. I quickly made a decision to buy the HK 3480. I set it all up with monster cables and connectors (my first time). It worked well for a week, then the left channel stopped working after about an hour or two of operation. I tried different sources to make sure it wasnt the source. I also attached the left speaker to the right channel to make sure it wasnt the speaker or cable. I even tried using speaker 1 and speaker 2 outputs to see if there was any difference. It seems that the left channel on both speaker 1 and speaker 2 outputs die out after a few hours of operation or if i leave the receiver on over night. I have this this on a shelf used for AV equipment so there is plenty of ventilation.
Is there a quick fix for this? Or am I going to have to get a refurbished replacement after having the receiver for only one week? HK warranty policies suck.

You say Harman Kardons warranty sucks yet you're contacting Polk Audio instead of Harman Kardon? I don't understand. If the reason you're dissing Harman's warranty policy is because you did business with an unauthorized dealer then that is not their fault.

Harman Kardons customer service is second to none. Do a search on the forum or better yet drift on over to the appropriate company website to solve your problem. Good luck. -

Are you joking or something?
I have all HK components and they are amazing with service. Everytime i've had an issue (and I'm a nitpicker so somethings that probably shouldnt have been issues were things i contacted them about).
Basically they will email you a shipping label. Just box it up, slap on the label and drop it off at UPS and you will have a new unit in about 5 business days. They're absolutely fast and professional. They never give me a hassle or try to assign blame to me, the quickly take care of the problem.KEF Q150 | Rythmik F12 | Yamaha Aventage RX-A780 -
1) HK doesnt have a forum on their site. this forum is where I came across some reviews on the product. posting on this site is not a means of contacting polk, this is a community forum. and i already contacted harman.
2) HK policy for my model is that a refurbished replacement is sent. After owning the unit for only a week they want to ship me a refurbished unit. I think that really sucks.
Thanks for the total lack of insights. -

Next time give us some insight that you've already contacted H/K and i'll be more than happy to save myself the time & effort of providing you with info to help you solve a problem that was half-assed presented to a "community" forum that is in no way shape or form affiliated with Harman International.
****.

Then take it back to wherever you got it and get a new one.
