Hello POLKS,
A challenge for all of US here in this forum, THe only way to know the destinction between Part A to Part B is to test them in much CONTROL environment.

I believe DOROkusai had initiated a Swap cable program and still a delimma to some of us. Which cable, interconnects, terminators, subs, amps.......etc... We need someone in this forum to unite LOCALLY and get together and in person and form a task force to conclude the several issues/ matters which would be a best/ better piece. We need to have a SOUNDproof system inorder to accomplish these matters................

Just a thought..............respect to all :D

Besides, just because it sounds amazing on this "SOUNDproof system" doesn't mean it's going to make a bit of difference on YOUR system. There are an infinate number of variables, so that's why YOU test out different cables on YOUR stuff and see what YOU like, not what the owner of this "SOUNDproof system" thinks on a system where you don't have the same speakers, components, or cables.

System synergy is key and you wont find it in a controlled enviroment. every room is different and people prefer different flavors of presentation. there is no such thing as good, better or best unless that is the way you perceive it in your room with your system. there is no magic bullet when it comes to audio and there is no substitute for auditioning gear in your own system using your own ears. thanks....WCW III

NOTE taken, however I believe the destinction between 2 piece still exist. Interconnects, sub, amp, terminators, etc.....and finding the ONE in controlled environment would ELIMINATE biases thus conclude quality sound to your uncontrolled environment.....this is a fact........
As I said b4, this would be fun! Networking and learning at the same time.

As has been previously stated, what is important in audio is synergy. This means that even if cable A is superior in construction and materials than cable B and sounds better than cable B in this 'controlled environment', it may not sound different at all (or even worse!) in your system or in another member's system. Since it's all about synergy and working with your equipment, any kind of test based on a particular line up of equipment would at best provide a very hazy, vague idea of quality, and in most cases probably not even that.

Synergy. Other than that I don't care either. It does seem funny however that the cables which have better synergy just happen to be the more expensive ones...

It's just like everything else in audio. Everyone has different ears and different tastes so naturally they'll like different things. Take B&W speakers for example. Some people think they're overpriced and sound odd while others adore them and strive to get their perfect pair.

I bought kimber heros and yes I like them and they have made a difference in my system but who's to say they're better than say Signal Cable Analog Two's? It's all personal preference as well as what many have mentioned here, syenergy. What works well with your system depends on your other gear.

This is like saying what is the best car out there? How many different opinions would there be and think of how many variables come into play.

Trust your ears! Forget blind tests and all that crap. Listen by yourself and make the final judgement. It's obvious that a lot of audio nuts are insecure and need to do blind tests to feel better.
