    Dream Theater
    Iron Maiden
    Slayer
7 of each of those.. but I'm slowly drifting away from those genres (except maiden!)

I've got a growing number of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd CD's though.

Hmm, don't really have a lot of any one thing.

Acappella (a Christian group) 11 CDs, though I only listen to about 5
    Eric Clapton 5
    Alan Jackson 3
Billy Joel 3 (two albums are 2 CD sets)
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band 3
    Brad Paisley 3
Paul Simon 3 (though one's a box set of 4 CDs)

There are at least 20 other artists that I have 10+ of, but I'm too lazy to list them all. If I like a particular artist/band, I tend to buy their whole catalog, or at least all the titles that I can find.

    Alphabetically...

    Blind Guardian (19)
    Bonfire (13)
    Fair Warning (15)
    Maynard Ferguson (45)
    Harem Scarem (15)
    Jean Michel Jarre (21)
    Meat Loaf (18)
    Petra (29)
    Pink Cream 69 (15)
    Praying Mantis (13)
    Queensryche (15)
    Royal Hunt (18)
    Savatage (16)
    Shy (10)
    Threshold (14)
    Vicious Rumors (10)
    W.A.S.P. (15)
    White Heart (14)

Also, it's not a single artist per se, but I collect movie soundtrack CDs, specifically 80s and 90s movie soundtracks that have obscure/rare hard rock, heavy metal, and pop music tracks. The 80s were rife with movies that, while their cinematic greatness is debatable, had great soundtracks (Lost Boys, Iron Eagle, Karate Kid, Point Break, Risky Business, Nothing in Common, Over the Top, Rocky IV, Teachers, etc.).

For fun, if you want to browse my soundtrack collection (high-resolution pics):

The "Home" link will also take you to the rest of my collection, including my collection of CD singles (almost 700).

Yeah, I've gone through several musical phases, as I'm sure we all have. I like to keep my CD's in the chronological order in which I bought them, so you can see the different stages I've gone through in the last ten years. The Red Hot Chili Peppers stuff was all from my freshman year of college (1999/2000), Dave Matthews was combo of freshman year and sophomore year, and the Miles Davis from my sophomore year to current. I hardly listen to any of the Chili Peppers or Matthews stuff anymore.

    The Cure...

including CD singles, imports and box sets -- somewhere around 45 albums.

A close second would be Morrissey/The Smiths -- with roughly the same number.

quite a bit of Talking Heads/David Byrne, as well
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore
