Has anybody seen one of these?

Its an old Atari system with a bunch of the original games built in. 40 games and the price is only $30!!! How funny is that? Those games used to cost $20-30 each now you can get 40 AND the system for $30!

Saw it at Sears this weekend.

The chip they use in there is actually the same processor from the original so it is possible and very easy to hack it to play the original cartridges :) I'll try and dig up a link for ya

Saw that at Sears yesterday, I'll probably get one. I played Pitfall for about 10 minutes in the store.

I wouldnt mind having one either. If for no other reason than to sit there and have all those memories come piling back in. I guess I was 9 when I got my first one. Yar's Revenge was probably my favorite game.

But the only tv we had was the main one in the living room so I couldnt play it that much cause me mum would want to watch tv.

Is it an all in one system? Just hook up the RCA's to the TV and take off?

I got something similar last christmas. I'm not sure, but I think it had about 20 games (maybe a little less). But it's just the joystick with a couple of wires coming out. Just plug it in and you're ready to go. It was entertaining for awhile, but you lose interest quick with the other 3 systems laying around.

The first "computer" I owned was an Atari 800xl. It's in storage along with a shoebox full of game cartriges and peripherals. Ah, a simpler time.

My wife and I have been playing a lot of Ms. Pacman lately. Man, I suck at it. I don't remember it being so hard. I think the controller is somewhat to blame, its laggy and often goes the wrong direction and reacts too slowly, but in general, this game that is as old as I am is kicking me squarely in the sac. Its very humbling.

Reviving the thread since the Atari Flashback II is once again available. The Flashback II comes in the form of the original Atari 2600 console. Since I never had a video game system during my teenage years (I really should sue my parents for this :D ), I picked up one of these from Target for $17.00. It's great bargain if you want to relive the 80s.
