I think it's a great idea!! Everytime somebody mentions something about a car I instantly derail the whole thread asking questions about it. A general auto forum would be just the perfect place for such stuff. I could live in a car forum.

    Bring it on!

I'd go for a general auto forum. Hell, I worked in that field for 15 years. Moved to the top and got bored with it all. Then went turning wrenches for a drag racing team. After 4 years of that I got tired of building engines between events while riding in the trailer down the interstate....LOL. Restored several pre 70's camaros...raced several cars in multi brackets....Still street racing now (damn kids and their rice burners and daddy's money mustangs)...and got my **** in line for the new concept camaro DEI prepped. Hell fire my 15 year old son knows more about cars than most of the idiots I outrun on the weekends. And his 1964 Nova SS 327 4 spd is gonna be a killer when he gets his license next Feb. Thats as soon as we drop a 520ci screamer in it. I hope his mom can afford the gas....LMAO!!!

I like auto forums as much as the next guy. I just don't think it would serve us well as an audio company. The web is so flooded with general automtive forums that I think it's better left alone. Also, we would need someone with automotive knowledge, beside me...I'm busy enough, to moderate it. One or two questions here and there doesn't hurt, just don't overdo it.

Hey, here's an idea, if you are not interested in an automotive forum, just don't go there. It's not like someone is holding a gun to your head and making you read it. There are a lot of the forums here that I personally have no interest in and I just don't read them.

Well since we cant have a good knowledgeable car forum here what is a good one to go to cause some of us still have problems with our cars we need help with and cant afford to have it taken to a garage to charge $80 an hour for labor and keep it all day.

ooh... i'll admit, the 600 series is pretty, and the armoured bmws are kinda neat, but other than that... too generic to be 'the best'... it's like porsche... no way would i turn one down if i were offered a good price, but with the exception of the carrera gt or the cayenne transsyberia, there's just too damn many of them on the road

more generally, though, what is 'best'?

oh, and to stay on point, i vote for an automotive forum, if i didn't when this thread first came to life...
