I have it on good source that the ELPs just might be shipped this coming week. It seems Gary hurt his back several weeks ago but is now back on his feet. He is waiting on the volume knobs to return from the buffers and assembly is in high gear. Could be the wait is over?

Just in time for Christmas!!

Peace all

So I see the email cancellation of your order didnt work. Mike says next week for mine and Gary says it will be an improved version and the 4 of us that are waiting will be happy.

It would have been like a custom option with natural billet knobs...most likely charge more for the natural look :)

For the last 2 weeks I have been pretty much shut down. I hurt my back 2 weeks ago and am just now able to get up moving around. I have the pre's ready to assemble. The knobs are the only thing not done yet, but they are at the polishers.I should be able to get them assembled this coming week and burn them in some, but I don't think the whole 100 hours is necessary, and if the knobs get here I can ship the following week sometime. Thats if all goes well and I think it will. I have finally figured out what has been making the hummming and noise always complained about. I removed the transformer, put in in a small enclosure and remoted it from the pre. The transformers are shielded but still they coupled to the circuit somehow. I then added a pi filter to the power supply and wahla no noise at all!! These last 4 guys to get these will be happy for sure.
I wonder if I could get Gary to "upgrade" my ELP with this fix? My humm nver really went away. Got quieter...but never really went away...at least on my rig.

I had a small hum with my ss NAD amps, none with the Carver silver 9t, better impedence match I presume. Taking the power supply from the chassis, wow!!! I'd say thats something special.

The MLP comes with the seperate p/s.

Sorry I missed this first part! Mike gave me a full refund and said he would rebill me when the ELP shipped. He's a good guy!

It will be worth the wait and especially now that you're gonna get the "Upgraded" version.

Putting the PS in a seperate chassis should be killer. I'm jealous.....well maybe not too much since I have the MLP, too. ;)

I hope you get it in before Xmas so you can enjoy it. It will transform your rig. It did mine and it was not subtle. I'll never go back to a SS pre.

I finally found my problem...That is my stereo's problem! After changing everything in it atleast once it turned out to be the IC's between amp and pre. Now it's sounding darn good so it will be a really good A/B between SS and Tube's in the pre dept. I can't wait!

I'm sure those who have an ELP ordered have been advised they are on their way in time for Christmas! They shipped yesterday so I would think we will have them by Friday?

Hope the Holiday is happy and sweet sounding for everybody!

    Peace

We should still have a tracking number, were you able to get one?

I am trying with no response to the request.

I did ask for a tracking number and shipper, but all I got was "Gary shipped via USPS" . It's got to be 8 to 10 days at best from Texas to Ohio via USPS, not counting Christmas. I should have canceled it when I had the chance. After all the negative karma it has produced I just know it's not a good thing. I'm seriously thinking about sell it as soon as it shows up. :( When things go like this at the start they never workout well for me.

The only way I knew was the tubes that I bought to roll in the ELP came with a tracking number and signature required. I was able to track the tubes out of Canada.

That's what I thought...shipped and delivered...not like FedEx, UPS or DHL where you can track the package along the way.
