Audience MAESTRO speaker wire
So I got ahold of some Audience Maestro speaker Bi-wire two weeks ago, I've had some time to digest it.
Currently I use a single run of Kimber 8TC. The person that had this wire before me mentioned that it hadn't been fully broken in yet. He was right, when I replaced out the old Kimber I noticed that more musical information was present in the higher octives, but alot of "thump" was missing with the Audience. For 48hrs I really wrestled with the idea of replacing the Audience with the old trusty Kimber 8TC. I let the wire settle in the system for a 3rd night, and it helped. Slowly the impact and dynamics of my speakers are back. The Audience pulls back another vail and creates an even bigger soundstage and inner detail. Macro dynamics are about the same but its what's going on within the soundstage that has changed. I've run out of ways to explain this all, lets just say its musical and sounds "right". Anybody that has any experience with this wire might suggest the same thing. It's fairly thin and very easy to work with, this wire WON'T impress the friends. These aren't thick snakes by any stretch. But it was pleasent to work with none the less.
I'm still up in the air about keeping them. I've come to realize over this past month I've probably outgrown my speakers. A serious contender will probably be the Dynaudio 1.8MK II's which only use single binding posts. If that's the case I wonder if I could turn this present biwire cable into a single run. At any rate, I highly recommend this Audience cable, at least for an audition.

Nice review!
I still haven't purchased those Oritek cables, but I'll get 'roundtoit.Political Correctness'.........defined

Can't comment on the wire, but would also agree with Zero, skip the 1.8's. I liked the 1.3SE better. Or for a little more cash you could have the Contour 3. I would love to hear the focus line.Sony KDL-40V2500 HDTV, Rotel RSX-1067 Receiver, Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray, Slim Devices Squeezebox, Polk RTi6, CSi3 & R15, DIY sub with Atlas 15

What are the retail prices of the Focus line? I've never seen anything online.Sony KDL-40V2500 HDTV, Rotel RSX-1067 Receiver, Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray, Slim Devices Squeezebox, Polk RTi6, CSi3 & R15, DIY sub with Atlas 15

This series is Dynaudios first ever loss-leader product - and man, what can I say except that its the 'real deal'. Trickle down technology directly from the Confidence line... forget about the Contour, both old or new... go Focus.
The Confidence series uses the Esotar2 tweeter which is trickle down technology from the Master series. The Focus series uses the Esotec+ tweeter which is trickle down technology from the current Contour series (except for the S5.4 and S CX center which both use the Esotar2 tweeter). The last time I was at our local dealer, he did not have any of the Focus series speakers so I have not heard them. I am sure they still sound fantastic.
Edit
Found this on Stereophile:
'The new Focus models feature Dynaudio's newly developed, proprietary Esotec+ driver design, which boasts features derived from the company -
It is my understanding that the Focus line is a step down from the current Contour line. I could be mistaken but everybody I talk to say's its a step down. I'm considering the 1.8 Contour's because I've come to terms with the sound I like (DEEP soundstage) and they are cheaper when bought used.

How did this thead go from being a wire demo review to a Dynaudio these are the **** speakers just buy em??? I mean You can't find a bigger fan of Dynaudio then be but I'm alittle lost on the whole thing.
But for the record, I'm way into going and listening to the Focus line. I'm always up for NEW. Maybe it's a bad thing for me as I have so many other things I'm upgrading and buying now.

I am curious where you heard this. I also wonder if the source was referring to the Contour T2.1 and T2.5 speakers as these are tuned primarily for HT use.
Personally, I have the Contour S1.4 speakers and they are fantastic for two-channel audio. They also do a nice job for HT use along with my Contour S C center.
Edit
Dan's right; this is my last Dynaudio post in this thread. My intention was to correct posted information.
