13* F here this morning. Supposed to be a decently sized snowstorm coming tomorrow morning to make the drive to work interesting.
    Ludicrous gibs!

8:00 this morning...nothing. Cold, but no snow. 4 hours later...1 inch of snow on the ground, with more on the way. Ain't weather a ****? I'm still glad I'm not in Canada, though. :)

We're supposed to get snow starting tomorrow morning and getting worse throughout the day up here in New England. Up to a foot some people are saying. Great way to start the weekend - I know I'm leavin early! :)

bob- yeah, here in PA it's supposed to start around midnight tonight and pretty much shut things down for the morning. I'm guessing that I'll probably still have to be at work, though... andI live on top of a huge hill, with a T at the bottom that I have to stop at :o

Hope you got four wheel drive! Every summer I **** about having to pay for gas for my truck, but every winter I remember why I love it :)

Yep, I've got a 4wd Ranger, with about 350lbs in the back. 300 of tube sand, and an estimated 50 in the box that it sits in. It sits right over the rear axle. But that doesn't help me stop much!

nadams's got that right... a lot of folks confuse 4 wheel drive with 4 wheel stop -- they're not the same! Most of the first vehicles off the road around here are the big SUVs.

Obey Physics. They're called Laws for some reason! ;)

Oh yeah, with all the talk about the cold weather, I forget to mention that the front seat heaters in my "luxury minivan;)" are on the fritz. I was talking with my wife yesterday about where and how we can come up with the money to fix them.

Today I got a letter from DaimlerChrysler with the news that the front seat heaters can short/overheat and ruin the leather -- and that they will replace/fix this problem at no charge to the customer. Thank you Lord! :):):) So tomorrow the van is going in the shop -- our "Bun Warmers" will be back. YES!

Nope, 4WD definitely doesn't hlep you stop. It's just nice not to worry about getting stuck, that's all. There's a lot of hills on the way to work for me.

All vehicles on the road have 4 wheel stop, so there's no advantage there :D

The one nice thing is that my truck is also a manual tranny, so I can just slow way down at the top of the hill and let it down in 2nd gear and crawl my way... and then get rearended halfway down by someone who's not so cautious... but at least then it won't be my fault. Oh well, they're saying it's going to be light and fluffy anyway, so it shouldn't pack too badly.
