Ok,
so finally we get in some of there stuff. Panamax is in as well. The Rockefeller speaker wires and the Jaguar Ic's are what I'm looking at so thats exacly what I tested.
Once the Monstercable was removed after a long listening on a Krell 400 Intergraded , Krell SACD standard and Jm lab speakers, The Audioquest went in place and man ..........DAMN. The difference in these cables on this system was unbelieveable. The way monstercable held back what this system could do was a crime. I beleive this is the biggest difference I have ever heard in a wire swap out. The piano was just sitting in the room and I could smell the felt from the hammers hitting the piano strings. Shocking how good this system sounded compared to just changing out the damn Monstercable.
I'm not a monster hater, but man come on, can there wire just be that bad sounding??? Noisy and closet is what it sounded like with it in place. I had to reach to find a tone I liked. I'm not one to think that wire can make this much of a difference. My past systems have not been anywhere near Krell and JM labs so I'm assuming it's the quality of the gear thats allowing me to hear larger differences in changing out cables. I guess testing wires out on a receiver and some old polk speakers don't allow you to hear all the differences.
My system I have now I haven't really done much cable swapping. I found cables(Kimber) that worked great on my last system(B&K and LSI) and thought ok, made a really nice Improvement why keep changing right???
Well I'm gonna get me some Jaguars with 36 v DBS and try em with a pair of Rockefeller speaker wires. They also have the DBS system on them. I'm also thinking of the CV8's which are the same wire as the Rocks but round instead of flat.
I'm very excited to hear if any Improvements I can make by going to the next level of audio cables. I hope they do my system justice. I don't use Monster and I don't expect the difference I heard on the Krell/ JM labs system but hell who knows, maybe it will sound worse. But I gotta try.
I'm also very Intrested in the construction. Solid core wires. Simple yet they seem to believe it's the best way. We shall see. They did sound Effing amazing on the Krell.... damn I liked that

Yeah, it's one of the curses of audio. Spend more money on gear. The better the gear gets, the easier it is to find out that cables can make a difference. Spend more money on cables. Find out the cables suck with the gear. Spend more money on cables. Find out the cables are great with the gear. Keep the cables. Buy new gear. Find out the cables suck with the new gear. Spend more money on cables...
Or just keep the receiver, the zip cord, the old Polks, and enjoy the music. -

I'm running Dynaudio Audience 82's. The Jag's are 350.00 for 1m pair
The Diamond backs and the Kings are very close to each other. You really don't get a higher end sounding or better cable until you get to the Jag's. They sound alot different.
When I did a shoorout with the Diamondbacks and my Hero's, I felt the Heros to be more musical and warm. Quicker 2.
The new Type 4 has very nice banana ends on them, then you also can screw a spade overtop of the banana. This is Audioquests very nice premade ends. I like em.

how would you rate the jag`s to MIT`s (S1,2,3) ?
I also was interested in the Cv8 speaker cables..
didn`t want to do a blind buy and the 6`s or 8`s though.
I got the type 4`s on the Gon...on the cheap too..!!Cary SLP-98L F1 DC Pre Amp (Jag Blue)

Robert, you leave those MIT's right where they are.Political Correctness'.........defined

I don't know. The Type 4's are nice.I was very temped to try em myself. How do you like em? I'm stating to believe that it's really not what wire is better but what wire is better for your system.
Mit makes really nice cables.

Don't write it on the calander yet Troy. They may have made a huge difference in the store on high end gear but I have alot better wire then Monster cable in my system. There new so I'm excited.
Funny how they look like Bungy cords. I feel as if I should be holding something down with em.

When I changed my monster sub cable to the audioquest sidewinder sub cable on my svs the difference was instantly noticed for the better. I just wonder if I would notice the same if I changed out my cobalt cables going from my b&k amps.

The only way to tell is if you try. For better or worse.
