Broken binding posts (fxi3)

One of my Fxi3 speakers fell of its stand. It was wired with banana plugs and when they hit the floor, both binding posts snapped. I have removed both posts and need replacements. Customer support tells me the smallest part they have is the complete crossover with the post attached for $30. They also suggest looking for alternate binding posts that will serve the purpose.
So, what kind of options do I have that are direct replacements? I don't want to modify the speakers any, but if I can improve the binding posts, now would be a good time. I'm not audiophile enough that I would spend $40 or so on a pair of posts, but also don't like the idea of picking up a pair from Radio Shack for $3.99. Any suggestions for replacements? Anyone already upgrade and have a spare Polk set?

Just an update to my situation. Polk came through for me and supplied me with new parts to fix the speakers. Shipped to me free of charge. Now that is outstanding customer service.

Now find a way to keep those from falling off the stands. If it happened once it will happen again.Proud SOPA Member since 2005!

The great customer service story keep coming up time and time again. Has Polk ever been profiled in a magazine for their great service. Sounds like a real competitive advantage to me, apart from some darn good speakers.Michael
