I have the Denon 3806. I believe same as you. I really like it, in particular the setup program where you take six different reading with the microphone and it automatically adjusts the speaker volume and equilization setting (audisessy, I think it is called for equilization). I will have to wait to hear the sub for Christmas but I really don't mind. It gives me something to look forward to for the holidays.

Yes, for sure I like the mic setup too. I used my Radio Shack SPL meter first to setup the Denon 3806 and than I used the mic. Using the mic was more precise setting and distances were more accurate than using the SPL.

I presume your 3 monoblocks are for the fronts and centre. Does it make a lot of difference in music? I’m thinking of getting monoblocks for listening to stereo.

Yes I use the monoblocks for my LSi15's in front and the LSiC center. I did this because these are 4ohm rated speakers and reading on this forum I understand that most receivers included the denon are not recommended to run a 4ohm load and may over heat, although I understand some have done this with no difficulty provided they didn't play their speakers at loud levels, but the other issue was that from reading this forum many have the opinion that you get better sound with a separate amp for these 4ohm speakers. I would not have bought them if I had 8ohm speakers.
I can't answer in truth how much better the speakers sound with the amps since I never tried it without them, but I have seen others post more than once on this forum that this is a worthy investment for these particular speakers.

Damnit! My PB12+2 shipped out friday & got here in orlando at 5:30 this morning & I was sure it would be delivered this afternoon, but no. I had my cell phone on me all day waiting for the call from BAX. Guess I will have to break it in with some War of the worlds tommorow if I get it.

Congratulations on your new sub! Be sure and post your thoughts on it after you give it a test run.

Your LSi's must sound sweet with those monoblocks. Just wanted to ask you. Do you have any power management centre? How do you have your monoblocks hooked up to power? Do you have to turn them on manualy or they power up all at once? I have no idea how this is done. Anyone else on this thread can answer this?

    Thanks guys

There is a trigger in and trigger out on each monoblock that can be connected to the Denon 3806 receiver with I believe a 1/8inch connector. The Denon has two trigger out ports. These send a signal to the amps to power up the second you turn on the receiver and power off when you turn off the receiver.you could use as many as four monoblock with the Denon. Also you can move a switch on the back of the monoblocks to automatically power up when sound signals are detected (I think many subwoofers have a similar setting). You can daisy chain two amps together to power up but not more.

I don't use any power management center other than the receiver itself. I am very happy with the LSi15's hooked to the outlaw monoblocks. They certainly beat my old Cerwin Vegas which have now been relegated to the back of the room.

You hook the out jack from the first monoblock(which is connected to the Denon receiver) to the in jack of the second monoblock and hence to don't have to connect it directly to the receiver.

Now I understand. This way I can connect 4 monoblocks to Denon's 12v trigger. Got it.

    Thanks gright much appreciated.
