I have a PSW300 that has stopped working. I can not find a fuse of any kind on the exterior of the unit.
I plan to open it up and wondered if there is some type of fuse that can replace internally.
Otherwise, if any of the POLK techs have alternative suggestions to get the unit working, I would be glad to here them. Thanks, Hytail.

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. There should be an internal AC fuse, you would want to:
1). Unplug the AC power cord and remove the 12 Phillips head screws that go around the circumference of the bass amplifier's input plate.
2). The back plate will come away from the enclosure and if you look where the AC power cord comes through the metal plate there should be a fuse holder.
3). It should be a 3 Ampere, 250 Volt time delay fuse 1/4" x 1 1/4" size.

Ken, I do not see a fuse of any kind. From the power cord, there is a ground wire + a black wire and a white wire soldered into the transitor board, but I do not see any thing that looks even remotely like a fuse. Maybe this will give you further information to analyze the problem... by the bar code are these additional letters and numbers: PSW 12253. Also, I had to remove 16 screws (not twelve) to lift out the input plate.
Maybe if you can send me a picture of what this fuse looks like or refer me to a website that has the particular item for sale with a picture, then I would know if I am just not seeing a fuse that is actually present.
I can not imagine someone designing a powered subwoofer without including a fuse.
Thanks for you attention.... Hytail. -
Hello Hytail,
I checked with the service folks, in San Diego, and they confirmed that the AC fuse is located on the inside of the amplifier input plate. There should be a fuse holder attached to the plate itself.

I have an audio acoustic psw 300 subwoofer. The fuse blew. It's tiny and no one seems to have one.
HELP.

The model is PSW300-8. Take the fuse out and look at the ends, the value will be stamped on one of them.
Should probably add, the usual reason for a blown fuse is the plate amp has a serious problem. Since it is a $100.00 sub it's not worth fixing.Political Correctness'.........defined
