Polk PSW202/303/404 vs. Infinity BU2

I recently got a set of polk rm6005 speakers to replace my cerwin vega D3 and Infinity sm115 floor speakers. I did this because we have an infant who likes to climb on things and I was afraid of her pulling up on the speakers and them falling on her. I realize that I won't get the same sound from the RM6005 due to many reasons, but my question is this. I hooked up the satellites to my infinity BU2 sub in order to bypass the low frequency filter. Would it sound any better if I were to get the PSW series sub than with the infinity sub.? Overall, I am happy with the sound part, but looking to tweak things a little bit in order to get the full effect out of these speakers. Thanks for any responses.

Welcome to the forum. Overall, you probably won't get an incremental increase with the subs you mentioned. The 404 might be a little above it, but you most likely won't notice much of an increase.
Take a look at www.svsubwoofers.com or www.hsuresearch.com. For about the same amount of money, you can get a better subwoofer. The svs pb10-isd is pretty good for its price.
Enjoy the new speakers. I had to go from bookshelf speakers on stands to something else as well when my boy came along.
