My kids got to the OEM remote for my Denon 2802 (gone), and this is my only way into speaker set-up etc.. Do I have to buy a new OEM remote, or are there remotes like Harmony.. that can also access the set-up code for me?

Hey, thanks for the reply.. Can I get into my AVR's set-up mode is the real question.. I'll call Denon today and ask some questions there too. What model of Harmony do you like or recommend? Thnx!

I have the 659 and I can get into set up in my Denon 3803; I would say any Harmony will do it; mine is the cheapest (I think) and I have absolutely no complaints. BUT...you must know that for complex set up sequences you will need to spend some time assigning the functions to your remote, and then keep them documented to avoid forgetting them (i.e. Did I set the "test tone" to this or that button?)

    Good luck.

Should you decide that you want the OEM remote it is available at www.atvpartsearch.com part number 3990757004

Everyone here is right. Harmony does make a good universal, and there is a good chance you will be able to get into the setup menu with it. However I am a big believer in having the OEM remote in the event I ever want to sell a component.

    Good luck with the search!

That is perfect advice! I hadn't thought of that.. I bought the AVR to have for a long time.., yet we all get that *bug* to upgrade huh? Harmony looks like a fantastic product! Thanks!
