Today I got my Rotel Amp I bought from the neighbor in the rack. WOW what a diff. :D My Adcom was good but this Rotel is great. I watched U-571 and could not believe this was the same system. I can't wait to watch some more favorites this weekend. I am going to recalibrate my system too. The amp might have changed the levels. (the battery was dead on the meter this morning).

Hey Mantis do you know much about Rotels Pre Amp? Do you use them in your installs. Thanks

Well off to the store. Damn batteries.

We don't sell a ton of Rotel preamp's other than 2 channel. For theater it's just like the 972 receiver. The rsx1065 is what we sell for home theater alot. It's a smokin great receiver.
That amp you bought is a killer peice. There amp's are one of the best in there class.
I think they are comming out with a new home theater preamp,I don't know when it's comming out.

there is 2 you could check out.The rsp 1066 which is the new one.And the rsp976 which is older(you might get a smokin deal on it.
7.1 or 5.1 you deside. You will need another Rotel 2 channel like the rb1070.
Rotel product's are very high on my list of the best bang for the buck.

Since the winter weather will still be here this weekend. I called the local highend dealer to demo some stuff on Saturday. The Rotel Pre amp is a big seller for them they told me. No better way to spend a snowy weekend.

Well I went to Audition Today to see Rotels Pre Amp and Guess what. now I want one. The Only problem is cash. I Just Paid off everything but the house and cars and I'm really having a tough time spending. So I will give it some thought and see if it's worth it right now.
I must say it's nice to go into a store and the people working there aren't idiots. They where also very low pressure. They even let me mess with the $20,000 B&W's.
Hey Mantis do you guys sell Tag Pre Amps? The guy there said that would be the next Pre Amp I sould look at down the road if I go with the Rotel now. Also A problem I just thought of is no AC3 RF on the rotel for DD Laser Disc. Do you Know if a demogulator is still made?
Let me know what you guys think.

    No we don't sell tag.
Yeah I know about the ac3 rf for laser disk, I still own one as well(Pioneer Elite LCD-59).B&K sell's a ac3 rf external, I'm not sure if Rotel does I would have to look into it.
The B&W's you listened must have been the N 800's.They are killer speaker's.They sound so open it's sick.
Cash suck's when it's down, they didn't have a good finance program that you could get into???I would look into one if cash is low.6 month's no payment's....sweet!!!
I will post back on the laser disc demulator.

Hey Mantis thanks for looking into that. I wish this place did have a finance program. I will call Monday and see if they could work something. Yes those were the B&W's 800's I sat down with. My brother is a HS guy and he was speechless over them.

Most people get that kind of reaction.Your welcome by the way.
Not everyday you get to hear killer speaker's go.
