Good cable, I had Granites which are identical gauge/topology-wise. Enjoy!

According to the AVS forum, thats completely correct. All you need is the proper gauge for the given length and copper made and your set. They went a far as to tell me a coat hanger will sound as good as high end speaker cables. People are fools to waste money on expensive Snake oil wires.

Who knows as there is no scientific facts on who is right and who is wrong. Copper is copper.

Just for **** and grins, I went and got out some old speaker cable I've had around for a few years, still in excellent shape, and took my Taras loose and swapped them out. The difference in the bottom end was DRAMATIC to say the least. We're only talking about an 8 ft run, too. The other differences were there like better extention in the highs and smoother mids, but those were subtle, but still there. This is a subject that earlier this year I was an extereme skeptic. Now that I've got the gear to hear the difference with, I've switched sides. It DOES come down to the resolution your rig is capable of reproducing as to whether or not there is a noticeable AUDIBLE difference. If you are running a low to mid level receiver, the ability to hear a difference is minimal, but as you move up the ladder, the diiferences will become more and more apparent as they have in my case. I'll never say that you have to spend HUGE $$$s to get good cables, either. As of right now, my most expensive cables are the Tara Labs Prime speaker cables, which new were most likely a bit salty, but I bought them from SComp and saved alot of $$s over buying them new. That's the only way I'll buy the higher end cables. I'll be patient and wait till I catch them in our Flea Market or on the Bay or Agon. Dan, you seem to be changing your story here. It seems that not that long ago I remember you touting Monster cable and then jumping ship to Audioquest. So what gives??? Are you just being sarcastic??

Well anyway, if you can't hear any difference then good for you, as it'll save you some cash down the road. But leave the people that do can and do hear a difference to their beliefs. It's our cash and our rigs to do with as we please. You won't hear me dissing the non-believers or calling them ignorant or buttholes. Everybodies ears are different, just as there are color blind people, there are tone deaf people, too. Not saying that if you can't hear a difference that you must be tone-deaf, just that some people have better ears just as some people have better eyes, pallets, and olfactory systems. Your senses are all your own and very unique to you. :)

Peace and go be happy with your coat hangers or lamp cord.

In the average AV system I doubt that you can hear a difference. After all, with the sub pumping away and the bombs going off, how are you going to hear anything for the next few hours. Add SS power to that and I'm sure there is no difference...

    Nice cables MR!!!

Well...I can't vouch for anyone at the AVS forum...But I can say without a doubt, better than average cables give a better than average return in sonic quality.

I also recently picked up a pair of A/Q Copperhead i/c's...paired with the Bedrocks,I'm VERY happy with the results...

I wouldn't sweat AVS forums, they deal with Home Theatre mostly, which in itself is very low fi.
